Does The SkyTrain Go To Tsawwassen?
Totally fair question—and one that trips up a lot of people.
No, the SkyTrain doesn’t go all the way to Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal. It only goes as far south as Richmond.
But that doesn’t mean getting there has to be a hassle.
I’ve done the trip both the hard way (multiple transfers, different tickets) and the easy way: the Vancouver to Victoria all-in-one bus and ferry ticket combo. Honestly, the difference is night and day.

The Best Way To Get From Vancouver To Tsawwassen
If you’re set on using public transit, check out our Vancouver transit mega guide before you leave. Here’s the official route to Tsawwassen:
Take the Canada Line SkyTrain to Bridgeport Station, then hop on the #620 Tsawwassen Ferry bus. It works—but it can get crowded, and you’ll need to buy separate SkyTrain and ferry tickets.
The better option? Book the all-in-one bus + ferry ticket combo that departs from downtown Vancouver. It includes:

✔️ Guaranteed ferry boarding
✔️ Reserved seating (in many cases)
✔️ No stress about connections or ticket machines
I always go with the Vancouver to Victoria bus when I’m heading to the island without a car. What I like is how hands-off it feels. You show up, you board, and they take care of everything.
Plus, in high season, this is one of the few ways to avoid the chaos of the regular bus system. If you’re travelling with luggage, kids, or just want to avoid messing with Compass cards, this is the way to go.
