Who Am I?

After so much time in the fishing industry I got myself an MBA to make a life for myself off the water. Having my foot in multiple sectors is what keeps things interesting.

This is a great excuse to loosen the tie a bit and indulge my two loves: travel and Vancouver! I’m always out there soaking up what my city has to offer so I can report it back to you.

I truly believe that you only discover a place fully if you dive head first into the cuisine.

In another life I would’ve been a chef.

If I had to select my three favourite destinations they’d be Argentina, Japan, and Italy.

What I'm Into

  • I play hockey at least 3 times a week – how Canadian of me!
  • Exploring new recipes (mostly Italian) and perfecting cooking techniques
  • Fishing along the Vedder River for sockeye, pinks, and chum salmon
  • Travelling abroad at least once every six months (Brazil is next)
  • Going to the gym in between website update sessions
  • I’ve been a financial consultant (haven’t lost anybody any money yet! :P)
  • Cycling through the Endownment Lands to pop out at Locarno Beach

Is There a Vancouver to Butchart Gardens Ferry? The Short Answer

Visitors often picture a simple ferry ride from Vancouver that drops them right at Butchart Gardens. The idea makes sense. Does a direct […]
