When Does Grouse Mountain Ski Season Start?

Let’s get things straight: Grouse Mountain opening and closing dates are dependent on snowfall.

In other words, Grouse Mountain ski season opens at different times each year.

So how are we supposed to predict when Grouse Mountain will open?

The best way is to check the opening dates over the last five years:

  • 2022 – November 18th
  • 2021 – November 20th
  • 2020 – November 20th
  • 2019 – November 9th
  • 2018 – November 11th

This means Grouse Mountain usually opens for skiing around the 2nd or 3rd week of November – with Grouse Mountain closing dates usually falling in late April/Early May.

This is generally the same for all top Vancouver ski hills.

At any rate, in order to avoid large lines at the Grouse Mountain Gondola it is highly recommend to book your Grouse Mountain lift tickets in advance:

Just select your date using the calender above and lock it in. As somebody who has stood in the thirty minute line just to get a ticket, I’m telling you this is a wise move.
